Mass Effect 5: Exciting Updates from the Original Trilogy Veteran Team

The gaming community was abuzz with anticipation as BioWare dropped cryptic hints about Mass Effect 5 late last year. Despite the lack of substantial information, fans couldn’t help but feel excited, especially after the less-than-stellar release of Mass Effect Andromeda in 2017. The recent delays that also affected Dragon Age: Dreadwolf have added to the anxiety surrounding the upcoming Mass Effect title.

A Familiar Face in Charge

One user on Twitter expressed relief with the news that most of Mass Effect 5’s leadership team consists of original trilogy veterans. However, there were some doubts regarding the authenticity of this claim. To put any fears to rest, Michael Gamble, the project director of Mass Effect 5, confirmed that the executive producer, art director, creative director, and game director are all veterans of the original Mass Effect trilogy.

A Promising Start

Any fan of the classic sci-fi series can breathe a sigh of relief at this development, as the original trilogy is widely regarded as one of the best in gaming history. Although there may be disagreements on certain aspects, particularly the ending of Mass Effect 3, it’s undeniable that these games have left a lasting impact on the industry.

A Glimpse into the Future

Although details about Mass Effect 5 are still scarce, a few tantalizing teasers have been released. These include references to the Andromeda galaxy, an intriguing new N7 character with a stylish coat and helmet, familiar alien races, and glimpses of ships. It’s not much to go on, but it’s better than nothing.
