Rumored Games for the Partner Showcase
While no official games have been confirmed, there are some rumors worth mentioning. One game that’s been hinted at is Penny’s Big Breakaway. Nintendo insider Pyoro has also suggested that Game Freak, the Pokemon developer, might make an appearance during the showcase.
No Mention of Nintendo Switch 2
One thing that won’t be discussed during the event is the successor to the Nintendo Switch. Recent reports suggest that it won’t be released until Q1 2025, so we can expect the focus of this Partner Showcase to be solely on upcoming games for the current console.
The Showcase That Wasn’t: A Change in Plans
Originally, the Nintendo Direct was expected to take place last week. However, Microsoft’s announcement of a podcast about the future of Xbox reportedly led to a change in plans, pushing the showcase back to this week.
