Dead by Daylight Announces New Chapter “All Things Wicked” with Sable Ward Survivor, The Unknown Killer, and Greenville Square Map
Dead by Daylight has just revealed the official trailer and patch notes for its upcoming original chapter, “All Things Wicked,” which is scheduled to release on March 12th, 2023.
New Survivor: Sable Ward
The update will introduce a new survivor named Sable Ward. In the cinematic trailer, which uses a found footage style to tease some of the upcoming lore and abilities, players get a glimpse of Sable Ward’s backstory. She features three new perks: Weaving Spiders, Strength in Shadows, and Wicked.
Weaving Spiders: An “Invocation,” a new Survivor Perk type, takes 120/120/120 seconds to complete. Once completed, the player becomes injured and Broken, but all Generators instantly gain 9/12/15 charges.
These Invocations add a new high-risk, high-reward mechanic to the game. Strength in Shadows and Wicked are both focused on recovery, which might help balance out Ward’s Invocation.
New Killer: The Unknown
Joining the ranks of killers is a new entity called The Unknown. Their abilities include Hallucinations and Teleport. With Teleport, they can “teleport to Hallucinations, leaving behind a temporary Decoy.” The Unknown’s meta focuses on illusion and misdirection. Their perks are Unbound, Unforeseen, and Undone.
New Map: Greenville Square
The new chapter also brings an all-new map, Greenville Square. The Theater main building is one of the new tiles in this classic horror genre location. This might play into The Unknown’s lore.
Dead by Daylight Developer Behaviour Interactive Announces Delayed Event and Continues to Grow
In a recent announcement, Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive announced that the event planned for late February was postponed. Despite this setback, the game continues to grow, with recent collaborations such as the addition of Saw II.
Longtime fans of the game are sure to appreciate an original chapter once again.
